I was looking for a one night stay on the Oregon Coast. I wanted somewhere clean with a good sea view and furnishings that didn’t look like the 70s called and wanted them back.
I found the Overleaf Lodge for $269. With tax + fees, it ended up being $299.
When we pulled into the road leading up to the hotel, I was impressed. It was leafy and nice. I got excited as many other properties we saw along the way looked dated.

We were in the 2 Queens Whale Watchers Room. It had a wonderful view of the ocean. It was very large, clean, had two robes, a big bathroom that was modern, and overall seemed up-to-date. The room furnishings were good too.

The room, Room 106, was on the ground floor and it had a perfect view. There were chairs outside to admire this nice view. Parking was free.

All the staff we met were super friendly. Received choice of beverage at check-in – water, soda, IPA beer or sparkling cider. We selected cider.

They were supposed to have evening smores at the campfire, but when we went to the firepit, there wasn’t anyone there.

The lobby was gorgeous. They have a spa (we didn’t use it) but the whole place feels like a spa – nice decor, relaxing music.
The only negative was breakfast. It’s included, but I’m sorry, it’s just not that good. Go for the coffee and dine elsewhere. They did have nice views from the dining room though and the staff was super-friendly.

The 804 Trail runs along the property so you can have a nice walk and admire the views and ocean. It was fabulous. We picked up a pizza from Outta Gas Pizza to enjoy on our patio
Overall, I highly recommend the Overleaf Lodge for a clean, scenic hotel on the Coast. I wish we would have stayed another night.
