The Club CLT Lounge Review (Charlotte Douglas International Airport)

photo of lounge area in Charlotte Airport

On a recent trip through Charlotte, I had the chance to visit The Club CLT using a Priority Pass. I arrived around 11:24 a.m. for a 2:30 pm departure, and while I was able to get in, the lounge was definitely on the busier side.

First Impressions

The lounge itself felt a bit crowded, and at times, slightly loud for getting work done. There is a separate enclosed area for kids, which is a nice touch if you’re traveling with family, but it isn’t that large so only a couple of kids and a parent really could fit in there. Seating is fairly abundant, though some areas are more comfortable than others. I also noticed plugs built into some of the seats, which is always a plus, but overall, the setup didn’t feel especially work-friendly unless you were able to score one of the work table areas off to the side.

Food & Beverage

The food selection was pretty minimal, though decent in quality. There were a couple of salad options that felt fresh, and a few hot items, but nothing particularly memorable. It’s enough to hold you over, but I wouldn’t plan to rely on this lounge for a full meal. I had a salad, rice and some cookies. They do have a full bar as well. One bartender was on duty and she was working as fast as she could.

Amenities & Atmosphere

One of the highlights here is the natural light. There are nice views of the airfield, which helps the space feel a bit more open despite the crowd. That said, the lounge lacks standout amenities. Restrooms are small and not particularly impressive, and overall the lounge is typical for Priority Pass lounges in the U.S.

Practical Considerations

Timing matters here. When I arrived, there was about a 15-minute wait to get in, though staff mentioned it can be closer to 5 minutes depending on the time of day. They do have a QR code you can scan to join the waitlist if it is busy. I had that code and did that when the aircraft pulled up to the gate thinking it would be like the Club at Midway with an hour plus wait, but was only 15 minutes and I missed my entry time.

Service

Staff were friendly and efficient, especially considering how busy it was.

Final Thoughts

The Club CLT is a perfectly fine option if you have Priority Pass and need a place to sit, grab a light bite and a drink, and recharge your devices.

Overall Score: 18/30

  • Food & Beverage: 3/5
  • Cleanliness/Maintenance: 3/5
  • Work Connectivity: 3/5
  • Staff/Service: 3/5

Yes, it is a decent option for Charlotte.
